Daniel Keenan is a senior vice president who collaborates closely with public agencies and P. Keenan Benefit Consultants to design and implement retirement programmes.
Daniel Keenan’s expertise is in designing, marketing, and implementing retirement plans and pension programmes that are tailored to the specific needs of government agencies.
Daniel Keenan has been instrumental in the implementation of qualified early retirement plans, qualified defined benefit plans, and specialised individual life insurance programs. He started at AP Keenan in 1983, first in the Personnel Services Department.
Dan moved to retirement planning in 1984, when the first early retirement plans were implemented, and was instrumental in improving the implementation of early retirement plans by negotiating with carriers to obtain a guaranteed annuity product, as well as improving the counselling and enrollment process.
Daniel Keenan earned a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources from California State University, Long Beach. In 1993, he received his Life Underwriters Training Counsel Fellow (LUTCF) designation, and in 2013, he received his Certificate of Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS).
