Through my research, I stumbled across a website named ‘The Keenan Tribe’
You are able to find ancestors and family that you’ve lost touch with and attend events online to speak to other members of the ‘Keenan tribe.’
There is even a Keenan shop where you can buy paraphernalia.
I came across Keenan Farms whilst researching my family name of Keenan.
In 1972, the Keenan’s purchased 100 acres of newly planted pistachio trees in Avenal, California. Four years later, the trees produced their first crop of just 500 pounds, and with no processing facilities nearby, the Keenans built their own. Fast forward a few decades and while so much has changed, the family values and vision that drove our business from the beginning resonate to this day.
Still in the same location, the Keenan Farms processing plant that opened along with that first harvest has expanded along with the size and scope of the industry. State-of-the-art equipment and facilities have been continuously integrated into the plant, while the original pistachio trees planted many years ago still flourish alongside ever-increasing orchards. We are privileged to be part of a thriving community of growers, producers, and packers in the Central Valley!

After working aboard schooners in Bermuda and the Bahamas, I eventually arrived in Boston, MA where I jumped ship and established myself in the Boston marine community. I have extensive sailing and powerboat knowledge and experience and am dedicated to finding the right, quality boats for my buyers. As we all know there are thousands of boats for thousands of boaters– it’s all about finding the right one!”
Daniel Keenan is a freshman at Kean University and plays No. 26 on the baseball team.
In 2022, Daniel made 13 appearances on the mound and posted a 4.50 ERA with a 0-3 record, 21 strikeouts, and four saves in 24.0 innings pitched.
Striking out two and earning the save in the victory over Brockport on February 27th. Recorded five strikeouts against Rowan on April 30th.

Since 2021, Mr. Daniel Keenan has been a director of three companies.
The companies Daniel Keenan is the director of are Mitton Aftercare Limited, Mitton Mechanical Services Limited, and Mitton Electrical Services, which are all part of the Mitton Group.
The Mitton Group brings together a unique mix of contracting, aftercare, environmental management, and climate control divisions, plus a newly formed national ‘handyman’ service. The Mitton Group partners with clients across the UK, achieving close commercial relationships based on mutual trust and confidence.
Daniel Keenan worked for more than 10 years in the hospitality, fast-moving consumer goods, and housing industries.
Daniel gained a lot of talents during the course of each and thoroughly enjoyed working on those projects, but the family’s company, Keenan Properties, is where Daniel has now established his foundation in the housing industry.
For Daniel Keenan, it was quite a culture shock at first to move from Kellogg’s, a corporation that markets its products in more than 180 countries and employs over 37,000 people worldwide (300 of whom were in the office Daniel worked in). Daniel says it’s been wonderful seeing his family, as well as himself, benefit from his labour of love.

Daniel Keenan, a Roseland resident and West Orange firefighter, won the 200 Club Valour Award in July of 2019.
West Orange’s Police and Fire Departments responded to a report of a vehicle crash with injuries.
Police arrived to find the driver of one of the vehicles unresponsive, while Daniel Keenan and others on the fire department found an unresponsive man on the shoulder as well as additional people with injuries from another accident.
While the police and fire departments were tending to the accident scene, a food truck attempted to pass between a police car blocking the middle lane and the crash scene. The food truck was stopped by police and fire personnel, but a chain reaction and multi-car collision then occurred involving a dump truck, police cars, fire trucks, and other drivers on the highway. One of the fire engines was struck in the chain reaction, and first responders inside the rescue truck rendering aid to the unresponsive patient were propelled around and struck cabinets and each other before coming to rest. Daniel Keenan rushed to the rescue truck to help, as there were now both injured first responders and car accident victims on the scene.
All injured first responders and civilians were transported to area hospitals and received further treatment.
“The borough would like to join the 200 Club of Essex County to recognise all of the first responders that day, but especially Roseland’s own, Daniel Keenan, for their heroic life-saving efforts under the dangerous and chaotic conditions that unfolded at the scene,” Roseland Mayor James Spango said in a post on the Roseland Borough website.
